Hello all..well it's Good Friday so Happy Easter to you!! for all of you lucky enough to be having a nice long weekend I hope you have a lovey time, and to all you (including me) who have to work....well what can I say :(
I had a chance to pop into my shed before work today to have a go at the Paper Artsy challenge before 4.58 on Sunday which is usually when I get mine finished!! (yes Lucy I am early this week lol).
We have a new guest this week Deb Freeman...so welcome Deb! Her first project was a gorgeous hanging board which you can see here. beautiful colours and depth. Well I intended to do a board very similar with a birdie but got side tracked!!
I started off with Leandra's corner corner middle technique using Lake Wanaka and Tinned Peas frescos, then aded in Beach Hut and Limelight to give it a bit of a lift. I stamped the swirl from HP1005 in leaf green archival...love that colour!!
I stamped one of my new stamps from AP onto white card and gave it a wash of beach hut...stuck it onto the hanging. I used grunge paste to stencil randomly.I wanted to get the image to melt into the board but didn't quite achieve that...I coloured the grunge using all the paints I had used as a base, just adding the different colours until I was happy with it..stamped the script stampp from LP28 in french ultrmarine archival randomly.
Next I added some smoked paprika and a tiny bit of eggplant with my finger...just a touch to break up the colours. The 'Art' is torn from a word stamp..'Artist' another buy from AP..Then treasure gold!! I used a very small amount of special edition number 5 to lightly brush over the raised areas....and lastly a tiny bit of south pacific around the edges to draw the eye in..
I am off to get ready for work now...but happier that I got to play before I went :D
Thanks for stopping by...................................
