Inspiration by Kate Yetter

Another quick post and that's it for today because I really need to go cook some dinner!! Kate Yetter was back on the Paper Artsy blog too this week and did a lovely journal page which you can pop over and see here...and it was my inspiration for my next project... I had been playing around a couple of mornings this week with my pan pastels and some masterboards. One of them was sitting on my desk so I cut it up and ended up with this........

Now I really must go and cook!!

A little mixing it up again...

Good afternoon..I hope you are all enjoying this lovely weather!! I know I would enjoy it a lot more if I wasn't at work lol..

This week over on the Papaer Artsy blog we've had some lovely stuff again. I loved the piece fron Elizabeth Borer..so thought I have a go at that this week..you can pop over and see it here. also on another day we had our very own Darcy with adventures with glue! well I didn't have a chance to try all of them out but had a go with the skins which I add to my project. You can read all about darcy's adventures here..some great stuff. I more or less followed along with what Elizabeth and Darcy did and here is the result... the first one is before I painted the images

And the images painted with the colours used for the background

Reverse Canvas

Good afternoon all..well it seems I am just about in time (again) to enter the paper artsy challenge!
This is my version of alison Bomber's gogeous reverse canvas..you really should pop over and see it here..well worth a visit.

I loved the colours Alison used..blue and green together..lovely. So I went along with these colours and followed what Alison had done. I did use different stamps and embellishments. I have had quite an eventful week so I didn't spend as much time on it as I would have liked but here it is...

Inspired by Liesbeth Fidder

Liesbeth Fidder was GD over on the Paper Artsy blog this week and one day one she shared a beautiful card she had made using the LP030 collage stamp...you can pop over and see it here Now I haven't had a chance to use this set yet and thought of something I could use it with so went for a rummage in my shed. I had bought this folder at Ally Pally in april and hadn't had a chance to decorate it yet...until now!!

I started off by painting it all black.

I then followed along with what Liesbeth did and cut out all the tiny squares...I used two stamped images for the front of the folder and just a few of the squares in the inside which I used my white sharpie to put tiny white dots around the outside.

I can't remeber the name of the paper I used inside (sorry) I stamped on top of this and used some more LP images..

I covered a few of the small images on the front cover with crackle accent although they don't seem to have crackled that well!!
I had cut down the concertina bit in the centre which is now the perfect size for No 3 tags!! Watch this space!! Here is the fininshed piece....
