Lazy afternoon

I managed to have a nice lazy afternoon in my shed today...so peaceful out there especially when the sun is shining. I must confess that I didn't get round to the big tidy up I promised myself but did make a hangy thing..well what else would you call it???

This was inspired by this piece by Sam. I hadn't thought about my stampbord for so long..forgot I had it. So today I dug it out and had a play...

I took 4 pieces of Stampbord and stuck them together at the back with masking tape..then stamped and painted it before taking the tape off. I then scraped away some of the paint. I matted it onto some card painted with little black dress leaving a tiny border all round. This was then stuck onto some corrugated cardboard painted to match the image. I added some black lace to the bottom and some fibres to hang...

  1. I love that LP image and it looks gorgeous with these colours! I remember Sam talking about stampbord a while back and I was intrigued. The black lace just sets this off nicely too. Julie Ann x

  4. Oh wow Lin, this is fabulous, love how you've used 4 singles and pieced them together, great idea for the little inchie squares, might have to go back and try something like that.

Very striking colour combo too - gorgeous
