Triptych

Can you believe we are on topic 20 already over on the paper artsy blog...20!! As you can see by my title it's all about the triptych...so pop over to PA and have a looksie here...some beautiful samples as usual.

Well I got some time to have a go so here we are...

I started off with a little set of three wooden frames that have been laying around in my workshop for aaaages! So I painted them with a mixture of haysack.little brown shed and french roast frescos.

I cut a strip of smooth white card and coated it with one of Lin's colours..mint green...such a lovely soft colour. Next I had a bit of a play with some bistres and embossing powder. I dropped some on the card tapering out towards the top and sprited with water..then added some embossing powder and dropped some more bistres on top..then clear embossing powder on top of that. While it was still hot and sticky I added more bistres and ultra thick enamel and reheated.

I then got out the frantage and added some white and copper. I brushed copper treasure gold on the frames randomly and dry brushed some metal charms the same colour. I cut the card to fit the frames added the charms and voila!

  5. Now I did wonder about Bistres and embossing powders or rather whether the EP would stick to water, glad someone tried it for me! The copper shine is seriously beautiful in both the Treasure Gold and Frantage areas. Great triptych...
