Well before I say anything what is going on with this heat wave...one minute we are all moaning where's our summer then bam!! full on heat wave. I love the sun but it has been hot hot hot!! Maybe I'm just getting old...Well I do hope that you have all been enjoying it.
This week on the Paper Artsy blog it is Carol's turn again and on day one she did a lovely bracelet made from shrink plastic and utee. You can pop over here to see how she did it. This is in fact my second one. I followed along with Carol's instructions so won't bore you with all the details. I used a mixture of X Cut nesting dies, my paper artsy primitive heart die and the sizzix primitive heart dies. This one is painted with snowflake and stamped in black archival. The edges were done with pewter treasure gold and like Carol I added some charms from my stash.Try as I might I couldn't get a decent picture so I am afraid this one will have to do
The first one was using a different shrink plastic which kept curling when I heated the utee. It was painted with tinned peas and I used a copper coloured chain and copper treasure gold. I also used a heart shaped toggle fastener for this one.

They're gorgeous Lin! xx
ReplyDeleteThey turned out great, I have a shrink plastic bracelet half made from ages ago, really must finish it.

Absolutely lovely, Lin! I couldn't say which I prefer they are both so stunning. I don't think it's your age - my son is feeling the heat and he's only twenty-two and my nineteen year old daughter who was accusing us all of being moaners has taken to her bed feeling decidedly poorly after a run, can you imagine! ReplyDeleteOMG Lin - I'm so impressed. These are lovely. Love that long thin heart die that you used.
ReplyDeleteBoth bracelets are gorgeous, I have a soft spot for copper so my favourite would be the second one but the black one looks so sophisticated...
ReplyDeleteWow, these are both gorgeous Lin and hats off to you for using a heat gun in these temps! I really don't think I could choose a favourite from these beautiful bracelets and I think the little bit of quirkyness to shape of the hearts on the second one simply adds to its charm.
