Tissue Tag

Frances third project over on the Paper Artsy blog this week was a tag with crackled tissue paper, you can pop over and see it here.
This is my inspiration from her tag...

I painted some tissue paper with butternut fresco and dried it. I then put a layer of crackle glaze over this and when that was dry some haystack and vanilla. This was stuck onto a size 8 tag...

Next I stitched around the outside and attached some orange ribbon using a zigzag stitch.

I then added some stamping in vermillion archival using the quote from Jofy 10 and the script from the Sarah Newman set 03. Made a flower from wax paper, added a red flower and pearl to the centre and add a piece of cream coloured tape underneath. Lastly I added some ribbon..

thanks for stopping by...

  1. Gorgeous version of the tag, Lin - not been able to do any of the PA projects this week, not least because I don't have a sewing machine for this one!

  2. Oh wow, loving your tag, lovely fresh colours and great elements and combination of stamps.

  3. Really pretty Lin. Great colours and love the ribbon detail

  4. Love your choice of colours, they give a summery feel to the tag. Good idea to stitch the ribbon instead of cutting the tag (I thought that was too risky).

  5. lovely Lin - do like your stitching and the lovely warm choice of colours.

  6. These are such beautiful colours and the idea of the ribbon is great! A gorgeous tag. Julie Ann x

  7. Gorgeous tag, love the colours & the stitching is fab.

  8. Super tag Lin and very pretty colours. Your stitching is pretty neat too! I love that tissue paper technique.
