Time does not change us...

Each Saturday Leandra is doing a special video with different techniques and this week it was using grunge paste..you really should go over and watch the video here...I actually saw Leandra demoing this at Stevenage last Sunday but if you weren't there it really is worth watching..

Here is my version of what she did..

I couldn't find the white coated grey board that I bought last week,,hmmm have put it somewhere safe!! so I used a 5x7 canvas. I used the same techniques so won't bore you with a step by step. I cut the big Tim Holtz clock die and painted it with inky pool and when that dried I scraped on a really thin layer of crackle glaze..then sponged a thin layer of eggplant and sanded it back a bit when it was all dry. I stuck it to the canvas and cut off the overhang, used a bit of what was left for the opposite corner. the quote was stamped onto crackly tissue paper with black archival...

Thanks for stopping by......

  4. I really love this - the colours are beautiful. I love the harlequin stencil too.... and I nearly used that text stamp on one of my projects this week, too, how funny.

  6. Wow, you've done really well this week too! This is another beautiful piece and lucky you actually seeing the demo live. Mind you videos are good for me because I've usually forgotten a vital step by the time I get home, lol! You obviously haven't here because it's perfect!

  7. This is terrific, Lin! I watched Leandra's video and was really intrigued and it's nice now to start to see folks taking up the challenge and seeing the technique for real as it's one of those things you can't believe is going to work.

Are you going to Ally Pally? My friend Petra and I are going on the Sunday,
